Shipping & Delivery — Australia-Wide from Two Studios
Shipping & Delivery
Salt and Sol ships canvas prints, framed prints and archival paper prints to every state and territory in Australia, from whichever of our two studios is closer to you. East-coast orders ship from our primary studio at Unit 2 Industrial Lane, 170 Eumundi-Noosa Road, Noosaville QLD 4566. WA orders ship from our Booragoon studio at 30/70 Norma Road, Booragoon WA 6154. Routing your order through the nearest studio shaves days off transit time and reduces the chance of a print getting knocked around in interstate freight.
Production lead time
Every Salt and Sol print is made to order rather than pulled from a warehouse shelf, so allow three to five business days for production. During this window your canvas is printed, stretched onto its timber bars, finished and packed, or your framed print is mounted into its moulding. Production runs in small batches Monday to Friday at both studios. Orders placed Friday afternoon or over the weekend start production on the following Monday.
Transit times by state
- QLD, NSW, VIC, ACT, SA metro: 2–5 business days from dispatch (so 5–10 business days from order)
- WA metro (Perth, Fremantle, Mandurah, Booragoon): 1–3 business days from the Booragoon studio
- TAS, NT: 5–8 business days from dispatch
- Regional and rural addresses: add 2–4 business days to the above
Tracking is emailed when your order leaves the studio. If a delivery looks delayed past the upper end of the window, reach out on 1300 632 332 or info@saltandsol.com.au and we’ll chase the freight company on your behalf.
Shipping costs
Standard shipping is included in the price for sizes up to 81x110cm Australia-wide. The hero sizes — 102x150cm canvas and 134x107cm canvas — ship in a custom-built protective crate, which adds a small handling fee for remote postcodes. Any additional charge is calculated and shown at checkout based on your delivery address.
Packaging
Smaller canvases (up to 60x60cm) ship in a double-walled cardboard box with corner protection and bubble cushioning. Mid-range canvases (60x90cm to 81x110cm) ship in a custom-cut cardboard sleeve with foam corner blocks. Large canvases (102x150cm and 134x107cm) ship in a timber-edged crate that protects all four corners and the centre of the canvas. Framed prints are wrapped in tissue, then bubble, then a board-edge box. Everything is packed with the “could a courier drop this and the print survive” test as the standard.
If something arrives damaged
It’s rare, but it happens. Take a phone photo of the damage with the packaging still nearby (so we can see how the box was when it arrived) and email it to info@saltandsol.com.au within 14 days of delivery. We will replace the print at no cost to you and arrange to collect the damaged piece. No need to wrestle with the freight company directly — that’s our problem to handle.
Click and collect
You’re welcome to collect from either studio by appointment if it saves you the freight wait. Noosaville studio collections run Monday to Friday between 9am and 4pm. Booragoon studio collections run Monday to Friday between 10am and 3pm. Select “Pickup” at checkout and choose the studio that suits you. We’ll email when your order is ready and confirm a collection slot.
International orders
Salt and Sol does not currently ship internationally. We focus on Australian customers and Australian-made prints. If you live overseas and want to send a Salt and Sol print to an Australian address (a gift, a friend, an interior designer), that’s fine — order with the Australian delivery address and we’ll ship within Australia as normal.
Questions before you order
If you need a print delivered by a specific date — a housewarming, a styled photo shoot, a 50th birthday — email or call us before placing the order and we’ll confirm whether the timeframe is realistic from the closer studio. We’ll always be straight with you about whether something is possible rather than promising a date we can’t hit.
